Mariano Chicatun is CEO and co-founder of Pilot X (pilot-solutions.ai), an industrial AI and machine learning company operating across Argentina and Uruguay. Pilot X works with clients in oil & gas, steel, and healthcare, focusing on what Mariano calls "the last decisional mile": the gap between data and the decisions made on the plant floor, in the field, and in the control room.

He is also CTO at Chirone.ai, a voice-first platform that captures and structures operational knowledge from industrial workers, and serves as AI Strategist at Hospital Británico de Uruguay, where he leads the Hospital's AI transformation program as a consultant. This cross-industry experience shapes his pragmatic view of how AI actually gets adopted in complex, high-stakes environments.

Mariano holds a Master's in Big Data and tutors thesis students at ORT Uruguay. Originally from Neuquén, Argentina, he is based in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
